Breann + Ryan have a really special relationship. Married months prior in the fresh fallen snow in Lake Tahoe, this spring wedding would be when they joined with their family and friends to CELEBRATE their marriage. This day though was not just a party, it was a day filled with intentional choices to honor each other and the relationships that support, nurture, build, and define them.
Throughout the day, the guests that attended would become witnesses that the couple would ask to share in the blessing of their rings, they would watch quiet moments of toasts and memorials to those the couple had loved and lost, and they would hear words spoken that honored the loving hands and hearts that have loved the couple to this point in their life together. I have to say, it was near impossible not to get choked up by the ways Breann + Ryan thought outside themselves to give reverence to others.
In lieu of a traditional bouquet toss, the bride chose to present a bouquet to her grandparents to honor them. Only Breann could say it best, “They have been very supportive of me throughout my life, and after 53 years, a model of what a long-lasting marriage should look like.“
Breann + Ryan, thank you for allowing me to share in a day that was so evidently filled with the utmost of loving intention. I consider you friends and know your future holds nights wide open opportunity for new adventures!
